Don't Be Afraid of the Dork

Covered in dog hair, Obsessed with books, Wondering what it's all about. I suspect the answer is ice cream and the ocean.

The Hound of the Baskervilles - Arthur Conan Doyle, Anne Perry This was my first Arthur Conan Doyle/Sherlock Holmes and I have to say I was just a tad disappointed. This is likely because while this was my first time reading, I've still had lots of exposure to Sherlock Holmes and his methods since I'm a BBC junkie. I can imagine these books would have been a revelation if you came to them "new".

While there were numerous things in the story I didn't quite buy, the overall mystery is a fun one and Sir Arthur invokes the gloominess of the moors very effectively. Will look forward to reading more of his books!
